Portrait Photography can often be rigid and lifeless. I see far too many portraits that look plastic and forced. Personally I like to have the subject very relaxed and content with themselves. To achieve this I like to photograph people in their natural environments or in the outdoors. If a person is relaxed while being photographed, they are more likely to reveal their true nature. As a result the portrait is much more genuine and satisfying.

Photographing an excellent portrait should take time. I usually find that it takes a few poses and settings before a nonprofessional model will be truly comfortable with themselves in front of a camera. Often the best shots on a roll of film are at the end. I don't place time as a deciding factor when it comes to taking a proper portrait photograph of someone.

Glamour/Headshot/Model portfolio sessions

We are always looking for talented models to work with in the production of special projects such as books, calendars, promotional cards, prints for gallery shows and portfolio samples. Trade for services arrangements (modeling for prints) and subsequent use of the work is negotiated between the model and photographer prior to a shoot. Models must provide a photo ID (drivers license works) and sign a standard model release. If you are a model and interested in doing a shoot, please use one of our email or Contact Us buttons on this site to send your information. You can send recent photos of yourself (JPEG format only) along with your model statistics, interests, your phone number and email address.

Our photography sessions begin with a free planning consultation prior to the shoot. We shoot in high resolution digital format or film depending on the type and circumstances of the shoot. All photographs are custom printed. We provide a large selection of albums, portfolios and image boxes bound in leather or silk for the most exquisite presentation of your artwork. Complete custom layout, graphic design and printing services are also available for model(zed) cards, invitations and announcements. Your photographs can also be burned at high resolution to CD's. Comp cards and special modeling portfolios are available.
