You may use nature's own lighting tools with this type of photography. but one thing is for sure: you still have to be able to see beyond the obvious when creating an image. You have to orchestrate a shot with lighting, shapes, composition, and colour, just like you would for any other image. Patience is a virtue here.
The great scenic and landscape artists can spend several weeks at the same location looking for the perfect combination of sky, clouds, color, wind, water, and luck. The Vancouver and surrounding area give many excellent scenes to explore.
